WeCare at Avalon Springs Care Center is actively seeking a motivated Dietician for our community in Mercer, PA. Our Dietician is a responsible to assure the optimal level of quality care is provided to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
· Provides medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for the patient population · Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual · Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, and patient rights policies · Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs · Will assist Dietary Manager in all operations of the dietary department as needed
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· At least 1 years' experience in Skilled Nursing Homes or LTC facilities · Must be a Registered Dietitian. · Knowledgeable with State and Federal DOH rules and regulations for Skilled Nursing Homes · Expertise in performing Nutritional Assessments. · Expertise in creating and modifying Nutritional Care Plans · Familiar with MDS, EMR software for Clinical Documentation · Excellent communication skills · ServSafe certification preferred but not required
