Job Summary:

Functioning within the context of the framework for professional nursing practice, the Nurse Educor, in consultion and collaborion with nursing leadership and the Health Care Team, facilites training, educion and development by assessing, planning, developing, implemention, coordinion and evaluion of projects and programs for staff, faculty, pient populions and the community. This is accomplished to ensure role competence, compliance with regulory standards, and to meet organizional goals in the Medicine Department.

This educor role specializes in Diabetes Educion. Within this role candides will educe complex diabetic pients across the continuum of care, coordining and reviewing care plans with the bedside RNs. They will also be educing clinical teams on best practice standards.

• MSN
• 3 years active clinical and 1 year of acute care experience
• CDES Certificion required within 18 months of hire
• BLS required
• Current CT RN license or CT RD license
