Position Summary:The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the daily operations of restaurants, bars, banquets, and other food and beverage outlets. This role ensures exceptional guest service, maintains operational standards, supports team member development, and helps achieve financial and quality goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operations ManagementAssist in the daily supervision of all food and beverage outlets.
Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Monitor service standards, cleanliness, and presentation throughout all outlets.
Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate operational updates.
Support banquet and special event operations as needed.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Supervise, coach, and develop food and beverage team members.
Conduct performance coaching and provide ongoing feedback.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment.
Food Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
Maintain food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of outlets, storage areas, and equipment.
Ensure all required certifications and training are maintained.
Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate records.
Assist with payroll review and scheduling administration.
Support department projects and initiatives.
Participate in management meetings and training sessions.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
Minimum 23 years of food and beverage supervisory experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of restaurant, bar, banquet, and hotel operations.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Food Safety Certification and Alcohol Service Certification preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
