Dietary Supervisor

Windsor Medical Center – North Canton, Ohio
Full-Time Position

Windsor Medical Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Dietary Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Dietary Department. This leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of food service operations within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, ensuring high-quality meals, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service to our residents and staff.

Our kitchen serves approximately 100 residents and patients three meals per day, seven days per week, and we are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in delivering excellent nutritional care and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Dietary Department
  • Supervise dietary staff including scheduling, training, coaching, hiring, and disciplinary actions up to and including termination
  • Ensure all meals are prepared and served according to facility standards, physician orders, and dietary guidelines
  • Maintain menu oversight and ensure compliance with nutritional and therapeutic diet requirements
  • Order food, kitchen supplies, and inventory while managing costs and minimizing waste
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local health department regulations
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation and food safety standards at all times
  • Coordinate with nursing staff, administration, residents, and families regarding dietary needs and concerns
  • Monitor staffing levels and workflow to maintain efficient kitchen operations
  • Participate in inspections, audits, and survey preparedness activities

Qualifications

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required
  • Current ServSafe Certification required
  • Current ServSafe Person in Charge Certification required
  • Previous supervisory experience in healthcare, long-term care, or institutional food service preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple staff members and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service
  • Knowledge of dietary regulations and food safety standards within a healthcare setting
