Summary of Job Duties: The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutritional care individually and as part of an interdisciplinary outpatient care team. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for educating patients, family, professional staff and students/interns. The Registered Dietitian works under the general direction and is responsible to the Nutrition Department Outpatient Team Lead position.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications - Registered Dietitian
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
- Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Arkansas
- Completion of a dietetic internship
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Interviewing candidates with all levels of experience - Nutrition, LD & RD
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical experience
Registered Dietitian and Licensed by the State of Arkansas preferred
Registered Dietitian II
RD, LD
1-year clinical experience
Registered Dietitian III
Masters degree required or Specialty Certification required
Precepts dietetic interns in the UAMS internship program
