Job DescriptionWIC Nutrition Counselor/Nutritionist
If you love helping people and want to support your local community, the City of Bangor has a great career opportunity for a WIC Nutrition Counselor/Nutritionist! Under the direction of the WIC Program Manager, the Nutrition Counselor provides nutrition counseling to WIC eligible participants. This position establishes WIC eligibility, determines nutritional risk factors, performs nutrition assessments, documents health and social service referrals, provides food and formula packages, breastfeeding support, and enters data into the WIC data application system. The Nutrition Counselor travels throughout Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties to provide WIC services and to implement outreach and participant retention activities. This position is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a comprehensive benefits package. Highlights include:
