Recommend appropriate medical nutrition therapy based on patients diagnosis and nutritional status. Educates patients, family and significant others on nutritional guidelines to follow at home, as needed. Contributes to departmental achievements through process improvement. Documents nutritional interventions including plan of care in patients' charts following established procedures. Educator and resource person for area of nutrition specialization. Provides consultative and specialized advisement within area of expertise to physicians to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition of Dietetics from an accredited college or University and current Serve Safe Certification. This position requires direct patient care through assessment, intervention and care planning. The following proven skills are expected, include excellent verbal/written communication, critical thinking, basic computer, and service excellence.
