Registered Dietitian

Job Description:
Hunterdon Care Center is looking for Registered Dietitian. Responsible for planning, developing, and delivering nutritional care to residents. This role includes conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments, creating individualized care plans, and ensuring residents dietary needs are met in accordance with clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and implement care plans

• Assess, plan, and evaluate resident diets based on medical needs

• Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents and families

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on treatment and care plans

• Monitor, document, and communicate resident progress using electronic systems

• Apply age-specific nutritional care practices

Qualifications:

• At least two years clinical dietetics experience in LTC.

• Bachelors Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition required.

• Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

• Previous experience in Long term Care preferred.

• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

• Must have computer skills, to be able to work on Microsoft office.

• Must know Point Click Care (PCC).

• Have excellent customer service skills and is a team player.

Rates start at $80,000 and based on experience.
