Position Summary
Moraga Post Acute is looking for a dependable and motivated Dietary Aide to support our dietary team. In this role, you will help ensure residents receive well-balanced, appetizing meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with meal preparation and service according to dietary guidelines and resident needs
Prepare trays, deliver meals, and provide feeding assistance when required
Follow portion control standards and specialized diet plans (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium)
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in a timely manner
Stock supplies and assist with inventory management
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
Provide courteous and professional service to residents and staff
Support special events and in-house catering as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior experience in food service or a healthcare setting is a plus
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Compassionate, service-oriented approach to resident care
