Position Summary

Moraga Post Acute is looking for a dependable and motivated Dietary Aide to support our dietary team. In this role, you will help ensure residents receive well-balanced, appetizing meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and service according to dietary guidelines and resident needs

  • Prepare trays, deliver meals, and provide feeding assistance when required

  • Follow portion control standards and specialized diet plans (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium)

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment

  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in a timely manner

  • Stock supplies and assist with inventory management

  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures

  • Provide courteous and professional service to residents and staff

  • Support special events and in-house catering as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Prior experience in food service or a healthcare setting is a plus

  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

  • Compassionate, service-oriented approach to resident care
