Physical Requirements
This position requires regularly standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing over 50 pounds; and standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); and exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to cuts/punctures, blood-borne/airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people.

Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m. - WEPP (Weekend Premium Pay)
Job Summary
Performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Responsible for the safe and timely placement of Cortrak feeding tubes in specified patient populations. Ensures customer satisfaction and good public relations through the safe and efficient use of resources. Performs duties in compliance with performance improvement plans, TJC, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. Serves as a nutrition educator for students, medical staff, health professionals, and/or general public. Serves as a role model, resource, and leader for other clinical dietitians. Exhibits nutrition expertise in specified area of practice.
Exciting new opportunity to work weekends at a premium pay rate. This position requires staff to work 2 12-hour shifts each weekend, either two morning or two evening shifts (specific hours vary by unit and must fall within policy). Weekend Premium Pay (WEPP) staff accrue vacation leave totaling 4 weekends per year. Other benefits provided to WEPP staff include university credit for health insurance, basic life insurance, and 200% retirement contribution. The skills required for this position are strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as technical, counseling, time management, computer, and critical/analytical thinking and understanding capabilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently; prioritize and delegate; set and meet deadlines; problem-solve; is flexible and adaptive to change; customer service-focused; and facilitates learning and provides constructive feedback.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Clinical nutrition experience in an acute care setting preferred. If candidate is not already registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed by the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists, they must obtain and provide proof of registration and licensure within 6 months of hire. Failure to do so will result in separation from employment.
