Duties:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following) Plans therapeutic diets based on medical and physical conditions of patients. Instructs patients and families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection and preparation. Consults with health care team concerning nutritional care of patients. Plans and participates in group or community education and screening activities. Writes educational articles for the Tribal paper and the program's website. Reviews menus provided by other Tribal entities, makes recommendations. Participates in development of program proposals for grant funding. Assists with meeting grant requirements related to nutrition. Assists with the overall appearance and function of the office and building.

Qualifications:REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics required. Master's Degree preferred. Experience: One year of experience working in public health, clinical, or outpatient dietetics preferred. Certification/License: Must be Certified Registered Dietician and maintain Dietetic registration and meet continuing education requirements. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual driver's license review and insurability standards with the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Will be required to undergo and successfully pass a background check. Must maintain a good moral character standing. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
