Job Description:

Prepare incoming and outgoing mail for distribution. Sort, and route outgoing mail; and address, seal, stamp, fold, stuff, and affix postage to outgoing mail or packages. Duties may also include keeping necessary records and completed forms.

Responsibilities:

Prepare mail by sealing envelopes, wrapping packages, and applying the correct postage with a stamp or meter

Check all items to make sure they are addressed correctly and ready to be mailed

Sort mail and packages, determining the best way to send them

Receive and inspect incoming deliveries from couriers and contractors

Move containers of sorted mail to the correct areas for pickup or delivery

Operate mailroom equipment like postage meters and sealing machines

Education: High School

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: 6 months
