Registered Dietitian Department: Nutritional Services Schedule: Part-time (1 - 29 Hours) Shift: Days/Evenings Hours: 8 Hours Days/Evening shift Job Details: - Certification Required - Licensure - Current New Hamsphire - Required - Experience is preferred Responsible for maintaining day-to-day clinic flow and optimum patient care. Plans and facilitates group and individual sessions on nutrition, exercise and behavior change during all phases of the Optifast program. Under the general direction of the VP, Operations/Clinical Services and the direct supervision of the Director, Obesity Treatment Center and Nutritional Services and within established policies and procedures, the incumbent performs the following functions:Monitors weekly clinic visits and communicates with participants according to patient needs and patient adherence with administrative agreement terms.Orders and maintains inventory of product and other clinic supplies.Provides and coordinates administrative support of the patient's medical record.Generates schedule for weekly clinic flow.Maintains and monitors weekly patient status according to program phase. Provides weekly group status report to medical care provider for each clinic and group. Status will indicate history of medical visits, labs, charges, and program adherence criteria that must be addressed to maintain patient safety.Plans and facilitates group sessions on nutrition, behavior modification, exercise, and health.Helps patients develop their transition and maintenance meal plans.Reviews patient's food and exercise diaries and gives appropriate feedback.Monitors patient progress during the active weight loss, transition, and maintenance phase of the program. Communicates with patients as needed to optimize their success. Counsels patients who are having trouble adhering to the diet during the active weight loss, transition, and/or maintenance phase of the program. BS in Nutrition. Must have completed American Dietetic Association (ADA) requirements. Advanced degree in psychology, social work, adult education, or counseling preferred. Experience:Strong public speaking skills. Two (2) years of dietetic/ weight management experience preferred but not required. Licensure/Certification:Must maintain registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration with the American Dietetic Association. Must be licensed with the State of New Hampshire.
