Description The Renal Dietitian is responsible for providing ongoing care for all nutrition aspects of pre ESRD, ESRD, PD and transplant patients. Responsible for comprehensive nutrition assessment including short term care plan and long-term program within one month of admission. Recommend appropriate feeding methods/formula or meal patterns. (i.e. IDPN, supplements). Responsible for developing or obtaining patient nutrition educations materials. Counsel patient, family, significant other or caregiver on prescribed diet and monitor adherence and response to therapy. Review monthly lab work on an individual basis and intervene as appropriate in collaboration with patient’s physician. Requirements Registered Dietitian required Current state licensure if applicable Prefer membership to the American Dietetic Association and/or professional membership to a renal association i.e. CRN Minimum 1 year clinical dietetic experience. Previous renal experience preferred. Job Title: Registered Dietitian Company: Location: Shreveport, LA Description: Barksdale Air Force Base, LA Registered Dietitian Full Time Position Providing Civilian Services at this Military Medical Treatment Facility. Qualifications: Completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in a didactic program for dietetics approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association (ADA). A Master's degree in nutrition, public health, health promotion or community nutrition is preferred. Current registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association (ADA). Board eligible Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics by the ADA. Possesses three (3) years of experience in wellness, sports nutrition or nutrition education.
