Job Title: Nutrition Assistant Company: Medical Center of the Rockies Location: Loveland, CO Description: Nutrition Assistant MCR Food / Nutrition Part-time 32hrs/pp/6am-2:30pm/Days vary/Every other wknd Day shift Summary: Work as a team member under the guidance of Manager and Shift Coordinators. Provide quality customer services and therapeutic food delivery to patients and communicate with Medical Nutrition Therapy and Nurses for excellent patient care.Requirements: High school diploma, GED and/or 1 - 2 years hospital patient food services or nutrition experience required. DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Good verbal and written communication skills required. Detailed oriented with good organizational skills. Knowledge of various therapeutic diet orders that may be placed in an acute care setting preferred. Knowledge of Meditech for retrieval of diet-related reports preferred. Understand importance of recognizing patient food allergies. Research recipes and food labels to comply with patient food allergies. Understand and apply HACCP principals in every aspect of work. Maintain positive teamwork, communication and customer service atmosphere.
