3. Conduct experiential training classes in menu planning and meal preparation addressing the needs and interests of participants.
4. Provide an orientation to specialty food preparation including various ethnic foods, cooking methods and presentation.
5. Ensure that food is tasty is well plated.
6. Provide a focus on the art of creating new dishes and improving on familiar ones.
7. Respond to customer preferences and food service trends in menu planning.
8. Ensure appropriate portion size.
9. Set reasonable prices ensuring that all costs are factored in.
10. Apprenticeship placements with external prospective employers.
11. Check all equipment to ensure that it is in good condition.
12. Supervise meal preparation and delivery.
13. Ensure maximum sanitation and safety in compliance with all food service codes.
14. Assist in maintaining required records including food production, inventory, income/expense, and meal counts.
15. Maintain an individualized comprehensive record and progress report for each participant served, utilizing designed computer software.

1. Prepare monthly reports accounting for activities, program outputs and program outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Advanced vocational and/or college education in culinary arts is desirable. Evidence of person centered, strength based training is essential. A working knowledge of community resources, career information and a positive conceptual framework for understanding the needs and interests of the population served are essential. Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian with at least 1-2 years exp as a Clinical Nutrition Manager for a 90 bed acute care hospital commutable from Clinton or Greenville, SC. The successful applicant will provide nutrition services to in-patients clients. There will be some out-patient responsibilities in the absence of the clinical dietitian. The selected candidate will be responsible for nutrition care throughout the hospital, which will include diabetes, cardiac rehab, oncology, medical/surgical and support to nutrition education programs and classes as needed. As a member of the nutrition team, the ideal candidate will work closely with the departments heads at the hospital; especially the VP of nursing to complete quality management activities at this institution.
