Under the supervision of the Early Childhood Division Vice President, Coordinator will plan, implement, oversee and monitor on-going education and training for program staff on all aspects of health, mental health, safety and nutrition for families with children ages birth to five. Additional responsibilities: • Determine annual training needs assessment through observation of home visits, groups and classrooms, record review and staff input. • Provide training and engages and monitors contract staff and interns who are working with health and nutrition. • Develop systems to deliver and monitor staff and parent education and training. • Ensure the program’s overall capacity to deliver high-quality, multi-disciplinary services to vulnerable families with infants, toddlers and young children. • Ensure that HS and EHS programs are in compliance with Federal Performance Standards, licensing standards and contract requirements in health, mental health, safety and nutrition, including regular review of children records for evidence of compliance. Education and experience required: • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health field with specialization in maternal/child health. • Master’s degree or RN preferred. • At least two years experience working in maternal/child health environment. • Experience providing training desired. • Demonstrated creativity, initiative and the ability to function with minimal supervision.
