The position will also provide training to Account Managers to ensure efficient, effective and focused Enteral sales activity and will provide direct field sales support for programs with key referral customers and managed care organizations. This key individual will perform in-service education to referral sources, physicians, nursing agencies and Managed Care Organizations. Education or experience equivalent to a four-year college degree is required. Registered Dietitian or other clinical Enteral nutrition knowledge is required. Outside sales experience is also required. Experience with customer service, clinical and operational teams is preferred. Flexible communication style, highly motivated, team approach and excellent listening skills are a must. Candidate may reside anywhere within Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino or Riverside counties. Essential Job Functions: Provide operational information needed for determining patient/resident care policies related to nutritional care. Understand policies and their impact on the daily operation of the dietetic service. Assist in developing dietetic service procedures related to nutritional care. Provide feedback and follow-up on the effectiveness of procedures. Provide operational information needed to determine priorities. Participate in the selection of priorities and goals affecting dietetic services. Participate in the development of forms and procedures for gathering information about the patients/residents food needs. Contribute nutritional assessment information to care planning conferences. Ensure that the menu served to the patients/residents is nutritionally adequate and well received. Identify and report the consultant dietician any problems in the implementation of the plan of care. Reinforce diet counseling with patients/residents and provide follow-up information to families as needed. Follow through on individual review of plans. Participate in the evaluation of the plan's effectiveness. Assist registered dietician in establishing and revising dietary policies. Interview salesman and purchase food and supplies as required, by menus. Check incoming food and supplies for correct quality, amount, and price and direct storage thereof. Record department cost, maintain inventory systems and regularly check storage areas by stock levels of staple items. Supervise use of standardized recipes for food preparation. Plan and assist in preparation of special meals for parties, banquets, etc. Direct and assist with departmental cleaning not performed by housekeeping personnel and prepare cleaning schedule. Provide administrative supervision, leadership, guidance, and feedback to subordinate staff to facilitate smooth operations including on-call duties. Ensure Attendance Tracking Logs are up to date and accurate for all assigned employees. Must be able to complete full CPR/First Aide and perform all required procedures. Provide care and/or conduct patient/resident interactions in an age/cultural appropriate manner. Follows all safety policies and adheres to all workers’ compensation program guidelines.
