Job Title: Fitness minded RD or nutritionist for medical weight loss practice Company: Location: Phoenix, AZ Description: Busy Internal Medicine practice looking for Registered dietitian (RD) or nutritionist to work with our weight loss patients. We are a conventional Internal Medicine practice that sees primary care patients, but we have had exciting growth in our weight loss area treating dozens of patients each month. We approach weight loss from a medical standpoint - treating patients who are sick and have co-morbid conditions related to their weight such as diabetes, high blood pressure, metabolic syndrome, GERD, hyperlipidemia and so on. The patient is evaluated medically prior to starting, then participates in a 6 -12 week boot camp on site with a modified high protein/low carb vlcd/hcg diet, seeing a physician or PA and RN at each weekly visit. In addition to their diet we have a heavy emphasis and work on their exercise and fitness both during and after their boot camp so that they can maintain their weight loss. We also have nutrition/counseling sessions with them to make sure they are making good choices and monitoring their carb, protein and fat grams. Our team includes an MD, two PAs, 5RNs and two personal trainers. We are looking to add an RD or nutritionist to our team. We also want the RD or nutritionist to be able to work do nutritional analysis. We have diet master software - though if you have your own that you know how to use you can use that as well. A further and very important requirement is that you practice what you preach - that is, fitness and healthy lifestyle by example are necessary to have credibility with the patients we are trying to help. If you are not into fitness and health, this is not the position for you? We expect that the RD or nutritionist that we hire is into fitness and health and has is a credible example of what we are trying to teach our patients. This is a great job for the right person.

Job Title: Research Clinical Nutritionist Company: Lifespan Location: Providence, RI Description: Candidate will assist with group and individual weight loss counseling, and other aspects of research as needed; such as assessment of dietary intake, follow-up on participants, track progress via computer and in charts.
